Hey Chancers. We wanted to thank everyone attending this past weekend’s Battletech tournament for coming down and wanted to highlight a few things, as we believe this was an event that ticked a number of “firsts” for our club:
- It was the first Battletech event in the TLC
- It was (in fact) the first Alpha Strike 350 tournament in Ireland
- It was the first event in the club with a Vendor present – big thanks to Plastic Crack Games!

We had a good turnout of 9 people with four tables playing and myself judging the event (while learning the rules in the mean-time). Most lovely people traveled all the way from Tullamore, Wexford, and Dublin. Everyone seemed to have a lot of fun with very dynamic and swingy games. The experience and lore understanding brought in by some of our visitors outside the club was fantastic to provide the color background for our games.
